Programs & Services
Redding Veterans Resource Center (RVRC) is now in its third year of operation. We are the sole provider of the Supportive Services for Veterans and Families program (SSVF) in the far Northern California area. Since opening, the SSVF grant has enabled us to stabilize housing, or house the vast majority of the Veterans and their families who have participated in our program.
We work closely with the Veterans Administration Clinic, other VA services and local community partners to provide a wraparound model of services. The services provided utilize a holistic and individualized approach that is, family driven, culturally competent, and community based. RVRC is a committed participant in the Continuum of Care project, Project Homeless Connect, North Valley Stand Down, and many other programs that support and aid veterans.
RVRC is partnering with Shasta County to utilize special funding earmarked to provide rental assistance to veterans for up to 18 months. Low income rental assistance is also available through our coordinated efforts with HUD-VASH. RVRC is on the fast track to increase the number of veterans to be served by SSVF program assistance and has plans to implement supportive and transitional housing in the Shasta County area. RCRV envisions a great future for veterans in Redding and the surrounding communities and welcomes the opportunity to help all veterans of all eras.
